One Click Reno: Accelerating Zero-Emission Building Renovations in the EU
One Click Reno is dedicated to accelerating the transition to a zero-emission building stock in the EU by enhancing the volume and depth of building renovations. By utilizing Building Renovation Passports (BRPs), the project aims to make the benefits of deep renovations both visible and tangible. BRPs are tools designed to stimulate cost-effective renovations through long-term, staged renovation roadmaps tailored to specific buildings. These roadmaps help owners and investors plan the optimal timing and scope for their renovation interventions.
As part of this initiative, UIPI, one of our project partners, has developed the "Property Owners’ Perspective and Experience on Building Renovation" survey. This survey aims to design BRPs that are more tailored to the specific needs and concerns of private owners in Europe, promoting sustainable and efficient building renovations. Specifically, it seeks to identify the difficulties, barriers, and needs that private owners face when carrying out energy-efficient renovations. Additionally, the survey explores the motivations, strategies, and incentives that could increase the rate of these renovation works.
The survey is open to all private property owners in Europe, covering a diverse range of property types and owner profiles, including occupiers, landlords, tenants, housing association representatives, estate agents, and building managers. The goal is to capture a wide range of demographic and regional characteristics to obtain a representative and diverse view across Europe.
The survey will remain open until October 31st and is available in multiple languages: Czech, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, Arabic, Catalan.
Owners play a crucial role in building renovations, as they are typically the initiators of the process. However, many important stakeholders are also involved. To ensure that the project includes everyone's input and considers all stakeholders' ideas, Ideas for Change is coordinating with pilot project leaders to craft and organize workshops to collaborate with local stakeholders who are significant players in the renovation industry, providing a multidisciplinary approach to building renovation.
More information about this aspect of the project can be found here. Stay tuned for updates on the upcoming workshops in Valencia and Dublin, which are the frontrunner pilots of the project.
