One Click Reno Participates in a key Workshop at Sustainable Places 2024
We are excited to announce that One Click Reno will be contributing at the upcoming Sustainable Places 2024 conference, taking place from September 23-25, 2024 in Luxembourg. The project team will be part of the Industrialization of building’s envelope Workshop, under the specific topic: “Navigating the Shades of Industrialized Deep Energy Retrofit: Strategies for a Sustainable EU Building Stock.”
This workshop is dedicated to exploring innovative solutions to accelerate the renovations of 100 million homes across the EU by 2050, a critical step towards achieving carbon neutrality and addressing the climate crisis. The building sector is one of the most significant contributors to emissions in Europe, making energy-efficient renovations an urgent priority.
Key Themes and Focus Areas
During the workshop, participants will explore the following key topics:
Cutting-edge Approaches for Renovations, Combining Digital and Physical Technologies: discuss the synergy between digital frameworks and industrialized building components, with a focus on modular, prefabricated solutions that can revolutionize how we renovate existing buildings to meet the EU’s decarbonization goals.
Collaborative Approaches and Regional Adaptation: address the diversity of renovation needs across different EU regions and how tailored industrialized strategies can meet these local requirements. Regional diversity is a key factor in ensuring the scalability of deep energy renovating solutions.
Market Activation and Policy Implications: highlight strategies for supporting the industrialization of deep energy renovations, including discussions on the necessary policy frameworks that will activate markets and incentivize large-scale renovations.
Dynamic and Engaging Format
The workshop will feature an interactive format, beginning with a poll to engage the audience followed by in-depth discussions of the three key focus areas. Additionally, a World Café-style debate will allow participants to dive deeper into the issues, with the goal of defining KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for each of the discussed themes. The results will be shared and summarized by the workshop's expert moderators.

We are committed to advancing sustainable solutions that make renovations more efficient and scalable. The project participation in this workshop allows us to share our expertise and collaborate with other key projects, including ENSNARE, BuildUpSpeed, Greenest, Plural and Giga Regio Factory.
We’re particularly excited that Ana Sanchis Huertas, from the Instituto Valenciano de la Edificación (IVE), will be representing One Click Reno at the workshop. Ana’s deep expertise in energy-efficient renovations will add valuable insight to the discussions.
