Building Renovation Passports for Europe’s Zero-Emission Buildings
-
Renovating a building is rarely a one-step process. Owners often need to make decisions over time, balancing technical needs, available budgets and long-term performance goals. OneClickRENO supports this process by advancing Building Renovation Passports as structured, user-oriented roadmaps that help guide renovation over time.
By combining technical development, pilot testing and stakeholder engagement, the project contributes to a more accessible and scalable approach to building renovation across Europe.
-
OneClickRENO is moving beyond the idea of Building Renovation Passports by developing and testing the elements needed to make them usable in practice. The project’s work includes:
a common data model aligned with the revised EPBD
methodologies and tools to support renovation planning
pilot implementation in five European countries
insights to support future uptake and replication
-
Building Renovation Passports can help make renovation more strategic, staged and understandable. They offer a clearer pathway for improving building performance over time, while helping connect technical assessment, planning and decision-making.
Through its work, OneClickRENO contributes to a future in which renovation is easier to plan, easier to communicate and better aligned with Europe’s zero-emission building objectives.
